Who are we?

We’re Remi and Pui-Yuk, the duo behind Maru Films. Together with our daughters Nova and Luna, we live just outside Amsterdam. It’s the perfect base to hop on a plane or drive across borders to capture weddings around the world.

Filming weddings is more than our job. It’s a passion that keeps evolving. We’re not interested in repeating the same story over and over. What excites us is doing things differently, finding unexpected perspectives, capturing moments that aren’t staged, and telling stories that go beyond the obvious. Some describe our work as avant-garde. We like to think of it as emotionally honest and visually bold.
