A Creative Retreat for Wedding Filmmakers

14 and 15 October 2025 - Zandvoort, Netherlands

Let yourself be moved

This is not just another workshop.
It is a moment to pause. To feel again.
To shoot from your gut, not from your checklist.
Talk about what really matters, the stories we tell and the lives we are building.

Nami 波 means wave in Japanese.

It captures the spirit of this experience, constant movement, quiet power, and the kind of transformation that comes from going beneath the surface.

We’ve grown. The industry has changed. And so have you.

With over 15 years of experience behind us, including building Maru Films into an internationally recognized brand, we’ve learned how to adapt, stay inspired, and keep growing. From creative direction to business strategy, and now AI and ChatGPT, we bring a fresh perspective grounded in real-world experience.

Nami is where we share that.
Not just to inspire you, but to give you the clarity and tools to move forward, creatively and professionally.

A space for creativity, connection, and clarity

Yes, you’ll leave with new work for your portfolio.
But more importantly, you’ll walk away with a clearer vision for your films, a stronger connection to your voice, and a renewed sense of purpose in your craft.

This is for filmmakers ready to

  • Reignite their creative spark
  • Shoot with emotion and edit with intention
  • Build a wedding film business that feels sustainable and aligned
  • Connect deeply with others who truly understand this path
  • Step into their next chapter, with clarity and confidence

The Location

Bloemendaal, a gem on the Dutch coast

Just 40 minutes from Amsterdam, yet it feels like another world. Endless dunes. Rolling hills of golden grass. A wide beach that fades into the horizon. The sound of waves and the soft rustle of dune grass in the wind.

It’s one of the most cinematic places in the Netherlands. A place to slow down, sharpen your eye, and reconnect with your story. This is where we’ll shoot, reflect, journal, connect and create.

The Experience

Two days of movement, emotion, depth, and light

  • Portfolio-Enhancing Shoot: Participate in a guided session with a real couple, designed to elevate your portfolio and refine your creative vision.
  • In-Depth Discussions: Engage in meaningful conversations covering creative direction, pricing strategies, setting boundaries, and envisioning a fulfilling wedding film business.
